He began his journey into the world of digital graphics by working in publishing, where he was in charge of designing layouts for dedicated press magazines and typesetting. It was this work that made him realize the great potential offered by new digital tools. He started dealing with artistic graphics since 2005. At first it was only photo-manipulations and digital colorists. Over time, his style evolved, and elements characteristic of his later works appeared. Since 2012 he has been using elements of 3d graphics, which has a very strong influence on him. "Irbis" is not only a graphic designer, he also realizes himself in the field of music. Since 2005, he has been creating the music project "Absentia." He composes music bordering on dark ambient, industrial and noise. By 2008 he had released three albums ("Waiting", "Otherside", "Reversion"). In 2009, he changes the name of the project to "Weaver," which, however, after realizing several musical collaborations and releasing one single, "Dreaming," ceases operations. Since then, the artist focuses back mainly on graphics. At the end of 2017 Jerzy Gorczyca begins work on his first long series of graphics "Persona000". It is meant to be an analysis of emotions and human nature. Scraps of human souls enchanted in images are being created. The series is also a description of the struggle between the dark and light sides of our personality. Although back in the days of the "Absentia" project the artist designed covers for his own albums, around 2018 he returns to this activity. Thus is born his collaboration with another Polish artist, producer, DJ, performing as "DroneHead". He creates a cover for him for the album "Daughters of Havoc". With this release, the artist returns to his early fascination with science fiction literature and computer games. Until 2021, he continues to work with the DroneHead project, focusing on the visuals of the yet-to-be-released second album. He is also focusing on the "Persona000" series and starting work on new collections of his graphics

PERSONA000 CYCLE (2017-present)
It is inspired by human emotions and personality archetypes. It depicts the struggle between the light and dark aspects of human nature. The paintings were created using mixed digital techniques: digital sculpture, rendering and digital painting. They are maintained in the style of dark surrealism. It can be seen in them that the artist is inspired by both organic and inorganic structures, and one can see the strong influence of entropy on the reality around us.
