Monogram artysty w prawym dolnym rogu.


Gabriel Zendel - malarz, przedstawiciel Ecole de Paris. Urodził się w Ježovy (obecne Czechy) w 1906 roku, zmarł w 1992 roku w Paryżu. W latach 20. jego rodzina przeprowadziła się do Paryża, gdzie jego ojciec otworzył artystyczne atelier introligatorskie. W latach 1925-1929 Gabriel Zendel uczył się w Institut d’Esthétique Contemporaine pod okiem Paula Borneta.  W 1934 r. Zendel otworzył swoje atelier na Montmartre, a jego dzieła cieszyły się popularnością wśród kolekcjonerów. W 1951 r. artysta wszedł w relacje z galerią Durand-Ruel, która wystawiała jego prace w Paryżu i w Nowym Jorku. Brał udział w licznych wystawach grupowych i indywidualnych.
