The bronze statue depicts Professor Jozef Szujski (1835 - 1883), made in 1885: a middle-aged man with a small beard and mustache, characteristic of the era. He is dressed in a kontusz and a professorial toga with an ermine cape, with a rector's chain on his chest. On the round base of the statue is shown a book surrounded by a wreath, with the inscription "True Historya Mistress of True Politics." This inscription refers to the activities of Szujski, who was both a scientist and a politician. Jozef Hakovsky (1834-1897), Polish goldsmith, medal maker, artist-cutter, one of the most prominent representatives of this art in Europe. January insurgent. Very rare.
