[ŻUKROWSKI Wojciech]. Typed letter with handwritten corrections addressed to the writer Boleslaw Lubosz, dated. 10 VI 1996 in Warsaw.
Double-sided letter on ark. 29.3x20.7 cm. Letter paper of the author, with his name and address. The first part of the letter is devoted by Zukrowski to Lubosz's new book: "I read carefully, sometimes marking my doubts, because I have this dog-eared nose. If there are a dozen of these stamps in three and a half hundred pages, you can be proud." He also writes about the celebrations dedicated to "Wolf" - Silesian writer Wilhelm Szewczyk, who died in 1991. He points out that they didn't honor him with an h.c. doctorate, "they preferred a fool who has sixteen of them and hasn't even read the book he wrote. Walesa doesn't give a shit about these doctorates, he doesn't even understand this honor." On the occasion of Zukrowski's 80th birthday, "The Pope, or Karolek, Lolek - as I used to call him, also scrawled me a heartfelt leaf, and not by the secretaries! [...] However, this assassination attempt has sullied him. I confess to you that I don't believe it was the Turks, the Islamic fanatics." Letter hand-signed "Wojtek". Preserved original envelope. Very good condition.
