[WITTLIN Tadeusz]. Typescript letter from Tadeusz Wittlin to Zbigniew M. Legutko, with the sender's handwritten signature, dated. 13 VI 1983 in Washington, DC.
One-sided letter on ark. 19.7x14.5 cm; letter paper with Wittlin's address in the heading. The author of the letter thanks for the book sent. "Truly, I am immensely grateful to you for graciously resolving such an important matter for me". In return, he sends a piece of his biography of L. Beria "Commissar" (not included here). Under the letter the author's handwritten signature with his full name. Preserved original envelope (without postal circulation), probably attached to the sent book. Good condition.
T. Wittlin (1909-1998) - poet, satirist, publicist; editor of "Cyrulik Warszawski", member of the poetic group "Kadra"; during the war a prisoner of Workuta, then a soldier in the Anders army. After the war, he remained in exile in England, France and the USA, where he collaborated with numerous Polish-American magazines.
