Lieutenant Colonel Pawel Thomas, born 1891 Walentynowo, died 1969 Bydgoszcz. Recipient of the Cross of Virtuti Militari. He began his career in the Prussian Army in Poznan, then took part in the Greater Poland Uprising, section commander on the Western Front, distinguished himself in the capture of Fort Pritwitz. Since 1922 he was chief of staff of the Northern Group in Upper Silesia in the 74th Infantry Regiment from Lubliniec. Id 1827 77th Infantry Regiment in Lida. From 1930 the 85th Infantry Regiment in Novaya Vileyka, then 1933-38 the command of the Completion District in Szamotuly. In 1939 commander of an evacuation group, interned in Romania. From 1941 in German captivity, returns to Poland in 1945.
