Collection of 25 objects from 1808-1812, from the time of the Grande Armée's activities in Spain, the Prussian and Polish campaigns, the war with Austria and the Russian campaign. The correspondence includes a letter from Prince Antoni Sulkowski to the Minister of War, Count d'Hunebourg, written from Toledo on January 30, 1809. Jan Kozietulski's letter from the time of the war with Austria: "Here we see only prisoners of war, not by hundreds but by thousands." Lt. Stanislaw Hempel in his letter to his mother in Pulawy: "we struck 200 horses against two thousand Spanish infantry, laid 500 dead and scattered the rest to the four corners of the world. If the Emperor gives anyone a cross for this affair, I am the first to be given." Language of correspondence: French, Polish.
