Handwritten letter with illegible autograph on a printed government blank of the Secretariat of State with the titularity of Tsar Nicholas I. Act of appointment by the Tsar of J. A. Morawski, State Counsellor and President of the Land Credit Society as a member of the Council of State. The Secretariat of State, which drafted the act, is the body representing the tsar in the Kingdom of Poland. The second document was issued by the Secretary of State (on a printed blank with his signature), indicating that a certified copy of the tsar's appointment had been sent. J. A. Morawski was married to Anna Jakubowicz, daughter of the famous Shmuel Zbytkower. He was awarded the Order of Virtuti Militari Third Class for fighting during the Warsaw Principality, and was the owner of the Zdzary estate near Rawa, and is buried in the Powązki cemetery. His granddaughter is Blessed Franciszka Siedliska, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Nazareth. Both deeds with ink stamp of J. A. Morawski family archive. Good condition. 9354/1
