Letter-scout mail from the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
Folded letter, posted on August 11 from Chmielna Street (Downtown North) to Chelmska Street (Mokotow). The second day of use of the very rare "Scouting Post Office" postmark with a lily in a double ring (Gryżewski - type 4). In addition, the stamp 11.SRP.1944 - type 28 (its early use). Content: I am alive, but I lack food. Letter rubbed at the edges and glued from the inside. Very rare direction of dispatch of the letter, due to poor communication of Srodmiescie Północ with Mokotow (only through a trench across Al.Sikorskiego). The letter was then carried to Czerniakow, where, at Okrag Street, the scout carrying it had to descend into the canal going along Belvederska Street to lower Mokotow. This explains the weaker condition of the letter. Nevertheless, the contents and stamps are well readable. Guarantee and description: Walish.
