[KOSSAK-SZCZUCKA Zofia]. Handwritten letter from Zofia Kossak-Szczucka to unnamed Professor Władysław Konopczyński, dated. 26 (?) Aug. 1930.
One-page letter on ark. 28.8x23 cm. The author of the letter accepts the main ideas of the foreword that the professor promised to write for her book to be published in Stockholm (this is probably about "Golden Freedom" translated by E. S. Wester, with a foreword by W. Konopczynski). The matter of the foreword royalty is presented as follows: "it will certainly not be too great, judging by how much they gave me". Letter signed "Zofja Szatkowska (Kossak Szczucka)". Corner crease, taped right edge tear.
Z. Kossak-Szczucka (1890-1968) - novelist and author of children's books, associated with the "Czartak" group, during the war an active member of "Zegota", participant in the Warsaw Uprising, imprisoned in Auschwitz and Pawiak.
