N.Budka born near Ternopil, died in Soviet gulags. Beatified in Lviv by Pope John Paul II in 2001. In a letter to the Duchess, he thanks her for her Christmas wishes and concludes from the nature of the letter that the Duchess is already healthy. He informs that in today's Mass he prayed for the Sapieha family. He mentions the pre-war holidays at the Duchess's home in Bilcz, Lanovce and Glęboczek and her crochet work. On the reverse, probably in the Duchess's hand in pencil, a design for a crochet macaw. Traces of folding. Good condition. 9354/7
