Single-sided letter on ark. 29.8x20.8 cm. Red imprint "Archbishop of Poznan" in upper left corner. Letter addressed to Dr. J. M. Święcicki in Cracow. The author of the letter read with interest "information and observations on the Polish 'Concilium' and other writings of the addressee of the letter. He writes: "Probably deep faith [...], strength of character and courage allow you not only to mature, but also to point out 'disinformative' opinions and theses under which sometimes famous names are listed." Folding marks, minor abrasions to right edge.
A. Baraniak (1904-1977) - Archbishop Metropolitan of Poznań from 1957 to 1977, Salesian, chaplain and secretary to Polish Primate A. Hlond and S. Wyszynski (and with him arrested by the communist authorities and unsuccessfully tortured by them to obtain testimony incriminating the Primate).
