[JAKUBOWSKI Stanislaw, documents related to the publication of the album "Gods of the Slavs" in 1933].
The book was printed in the Printing House "Powściągliwość i Praca" in Cracow in an edition of 3,000 copies. Publishing matters were handled by Franciszek Goc from Cracow and the documents listed here were submitted to him. The presented collection includes:
1. a commitment by the printing house to rebind and stencil the pieces of the book within 5 weeks for the amount of 2,367 zlotys; the agreement specifies the type of paper, ink and other details (e.g., "the work will be stencilled with strong threads, cleanly and accurately"), as well as the terms of payment for the service. Letter dated. 17 III 1933 in Cracow
2. letter from the National Printing House with the information: "in today's era the remuneration of the most widely read author is 15-20% of the price of the book". Letter dated. 28 IX 1934 in Krakow
3. receipt issued by Feliks Copera (with his signature) on behalf of the National Museum in Krakow confirming receipt of 110 copies of the album "donated for the purpose of building the National Museum". Letter dated. Oct. 7, 1935 in Kraków
4. commission settlements with Gebethner & Wolff bookstore in Kraków for pieces accepted and sold (7 documents from 28 Aug 1933 to 15 Mar 1936). Noteworthy is the clause: "calculations will be made at every request of the WPan, but not more often than every quarter".
All objects in good and very good condition.
