Document for 60 florins given to Jan Splawski (d.c. 1540) judge of Poznan, deputy starosta general of Greater Poland. Bydgoszcz "Feria Quarta" 1530 - Latin language. Legibly imprinted on wafer paper the sigil of the governor with the Ogończyk coat of arms and the monogram "SC". Document issued in the first year of the reign of Sigismund Augustus. Dimensions: 10 x 18 cm.
Koscielecki was one of the most prominent magnates of Greater Poland of his era. Being hetman of the Prussian lands, he led to the fall of the Teutonic Order and brought about the so-called Prussian Homage. He was friends with famous scholars of his era - Jan Dantyszek and Piotr Tomicki. Chipped corner without damage to the text. Documents from the Jagiellonian era are rare on the antiquarian market. Good condition. Rare.
