[IWASZKIEWICZ Jaroslaw]. Handwritten short letter from Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz to Zdzislaw Najder regarding the publication of the short story "Church in Skaryszew", dated. 19 VI 1967 in Stawisko.
One-sided letter on A4 sheet, signed "Jaroslaw". The writer suggests that the forthcoming publication of his short story "Ascension" be accompanied by the text "Church in Skaryszew" previously printed in Twórczość. This work "is very successful - it is coming out in Russian and Japanese." The letter ends with an invitation to visit Warsaw: "but will you come?". Traces of folding, good condition.

Iwaszkiewicz (1894-1980) - prose writer, poet, essayist, translator; member of the Skamander group, contributor to "Literary News," editor-in-chief of the monthly "Twórczość" from 1955 to 1980, president of the Polish Writers' Union from 1959 to 1980; nominated four times for the Nobel Prize in literature, winner of the Lenin Peace Prize.
