Autograph of General Matvei Platov famous officer of Russia from the time of Tsarina Catherine II and Alexander I, active for 50 years. He led battles against Turkey, Persia and in 1812 against Napoleon. He founded the city of Novocherkassk k. Rostov-on-Don. He was an ataman of the Don Cossacks. Recognized as a hero in Russia and Ukraine. Monuments were erected to him in the 19th century and in the present day. Bilingual certificate issued for Lieutenant Drewitz commandant of Gudov. There are two towns with this name - near Tver and Pskov. The surname Drewitz was borne by two tsarist generals during Catherine's reign.This document issued for the ancestor of Teodor Drewitz (d.1942) owner of the estate of Całowanie near Karczew, godfather of the banner of the 1st regiment of horse riflemen.
