Autograph of General Matvei Platov famous officer of Russia from the time of Tsarina Catherine II and Alexander I, active for 50 years. He led battles against Turkey, Persia and in 1812 against Napoleon. He founded the city of Novocherkassk k. Rostov-on-Don. He was an ataman of the Don Cossacks.
