[DYMNY Wieslaw]. Handwritten short letter probably addressed to Wieslaw Dymny, probably from the early 1960s.
Handwritten mock-up (?) of the program (?) of a cabaret (?) show in Wroclaw on 4 pages form. 29.7x20.9 cm. On the last blank page a letter written in black crayon: "Wiesiu! I am very curious what is happening to you? Everyone has already forgotten that you exist, and you have forgotten about Us. We are very sorry. Baśka." The mockup includes, among other things, parodies of advertisements, such as: "Gol vodka with razor blades of domestic production Polonia, Metro, Lotnik", "Are you a good citizen? Support P.M.S. [= State Spirits Monopoly]". Folding marks, minor stains.
We initially attributed this letter to Barbara Nawratowicz. However, she contradicts our assumption, pointing to Wladyslaw Dymny's first wife, Teresa Hrynkiewicz, as the author of this letter.
B. Nawratowicz (born 1932) - actress, cabaret artist, radio journalist, co-founder and star of Piwnica pod Baranami, has been in exile since 1965. For nearly 30 years she worked at the Polish Radio Free Europe Broadcasting Station. In the mid-1950s she was in a relationship for several years with Wieslaw Dymny, also associated with the Piwnica.
