[DEDECIUS Karl]. Typed letter and two postcards with handwritten correspondence by Karl Dedecius, stamped 26 May and 11 December 1975, letter without date.
One-sided letter on A5 size sheet, typed without Polish diacritical marks. Signed with full name. All mail sent from Frankfurt am Main. Correspondence (in Polish) concerns Dedecius' latest book "Polnische Profile" and the possibility of publishing excerpts of it (in Polish translation) in Poland; the periodicals "Twórczość" and "Pamiętnik Literacki" are under consideration. Dedecius hopes to publish the book in PIW (hope, as it turned out, was faint). The book contained 6 essays devoted to poets: Nowaczynski, Galczynski, Lec, Przybosi, Różewicz and Herbert. Dedecius mentions the latter in several places (e.g., "Zbyszek was here - he left some new poems - interesting ones. And he is again gliding somewhere in the world - probably at the moment resting in Tyrol"). Very good condition. Letter without envelope.
