[NOWICKI Jan]. Author's manuscript of Jan Nowicki's last column in "Gazeta Krakowska", published 20 II 2009.
One-sided manuscript on two sheets of form. A4. Text written in black pen, with a few corrections. Under the text, signature of Jan Nowicki with full name, and information that the column was written in Białobrzegi after the performance "From clouds to earth". The title of the column is "The Time Is Over." In it, he bids farewell to his readers after a three-year weekly guest column in Gazeta Krakowska. He writes: "Time. It always ends, then begins. Without farewells there would be no greetings, no hopes, no fulfillments." About the editors-in-chief: "With each one I still feel bound to this day by threads of disciplined affection, unfinished conversations, a constant willingness to lean into something - appropriately chilled." "The furious ordeal of writing every week, which is so wonderfully transformed today into the joy of regained freedom, will be missed. Illusory, of course." He ends with a passage: "Words are not for hugging. I feel best in ... unspeakable." Sheets folded, original envelope preserved. A small trace of moisture on the corner of the first sheet, otherwise good condition.
