[ZAMOYSKI Konstanty]. Handwritten document ordering payment of sum due to Jan Nepomucen Borkowski, dated. 30 X 1900 in Kozłówka.
One-sided manuscript on ark. 27.8x22 cm, on the back a receipt for receipt of money, two other pages blank. Document addressed to "Mr. [Roman] Zaremba, Patron in Lublin" with an order to pay the Kozłówka estate's ruler Jan Nepomucen Borkowski "the sum falling to [Zamoyski] from the remuneration for the propination that was granted to him". Under the text, written in Konstanty Zamoyski's hand, his signature with full name and surname and coat of arms seal on lacquer (h. Jelita). On the reverse side a handwritten receipt for J. N. Borkowski's receipt of the due amount of 48,800 rubles, with his signature, dated. 14 XI 1900 in Lublin. Traces of folding, minor tears at folds, minor stains.
K. Zamoyski (1846-1923) - "Count, landowner, 1st Ordinate of Kozłówka in 1903-1923 [...]. In 1870, as a wedding gift from his father, he received a palace in Kozłówka. In 1899-1914 he carried out a major reconstruction of the palace [...]. In 1903, a tsarist decree created the Kozlowka Ordinance with an area of 7650 hectares[. It included, among other things, eight granges, four forestry concessions, three mills, a sawmill, two brickyards" (Wikipedia).
