Józef Wybicki (1747-1822) - Polish writer and politician, chamberlain of Stanislaw August Poniatowski. Author of "Song of the Polish Legions in Italy" - later the Polish national anthem Mazurek Dabrowski. Mikolaj Akielewicz (1829-1887), promoter of the Lithuanian language, publisher of books in this language, poet and translator. He published in "Gazeta Codzienna" and "Kurier Wileński".
