Jozef Bohdan Waydyk (1892-1957) - participant in the First V.S. in the Tsar's army, joined Pilsudski's Legions in 1917, then became a policeman. For a short time he returned to the army, but after the Polish-Bolshevik war returned to the police and worked in Svisloch. In 1928 he took an officer's course in Bialystok and became district commander in Volkovysk. His assignments and places of work were frequently changed (Warsaw, Lviv, Krynica), and for some time, alongside parallel police work, he was editor of the Lviv police magazine "Our Life." During World War II(he was living in Lviv at the time) he hid from the Soviets, joined the police of the General Government, at the same time he was active in the underground Security Corps. After the war, he hid his history and worked in the administration. Father of aphorist and writer Zbigniew Waydyk.
