Business card of painter Jan Styka (1858-1925) with a handwritten note and the artist's autograph. The following details are given on the front of the business card: l.d. "Garches. Teleph. N. 105" and p.d. "Villa Tade. Garches St. Cloud."
A note on the reverse refers to a payment of 50,000 francs for the painting. Dimensions: 5 x 8.7 cm.

Jan Styka (1858-1925) - Polish painter, book illustrator. Author, among others, of the famous "Panorama of Raclawice" (together with Wojciech Kossak). He became famous in the West for his illustrations for the exclusive monumental edition of "Quo Vadis" by Henryk Sienkiewicz, prepared by the Paris publisher E. Flammarion.
