Dated. December 18, 1977 (10 x 15 cm, when unfolded 20 x 15 cm).
Andrzej Strumillo (1927-2020) painter, printmaker, photographer, poet, native of Vilnius, active in Warsaw and the Suwałki region. His works from the 1950s onward were exhibited in Beijing and Paris, among other places. Scene with a hunter on a sleigh cut from colored paper, additions made in brown ink. Inside, text with literary New Year's (but not Christmas) wishes for the secretary from the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party, Richard Frelek. The artist wishes "a good anvil and a mighty hammer, an effective blow" He also asks about the development of the addressee's daughter's talent and invites her to come with his works. Since at that time housing was granted by the state there is a sentence : "Housing matters are moving more nimbly, thank you." Signature "Danuta and Andrzej Strumillo" at the end. Good condition.
