- Stefan Jaracz (24.12.1883 Żukowice Stare pov. Tarnów - 11.08.1945 Otwock) prominent Polish theater and film actor, director and theater director. After graduating from high school in 1901, he studied at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow for 2 semesters after which he became associated with the theater initially in Krakow, making his stage debut in 1904. From 1911 he was associated with Warsaw theaters, and in 1915-1918 he performed in Moscow and Kyiv. From 1918 in Warsaw, associated with theaters in Warsaw, in addition to those in Lodz, Lviv and Poznan, and made guest appearances throughout the country. In 1930 he was founder and director of the leftist Ateneum Theater in Warsaw, which he managed and performed at until 1939. Between 1912 and 1936 he played 36 film roles and numerous radio roles. During the occupation period, he was mainly in and around Warsaw, arrested in 1941 and briefly imprisoned in Auschwitz concentration camp.
