Singing Circle in Trzemeszno - was founded on July 27, 1901 and, with small breaks, functioned until 1979. on the initiative of Rev. Bauz, the Circle joined the Association of Polish Singing Circles for the Grand Duchy of Poznan. In 1907, the ensemble won second prize at the district convention in Poznań-Jeżyce. At that time the ensemble was conducted by Ignacy Kaptur. On the occasion of the society's 10th anniversary in 1911, a women's choir was formed. The function of the head of the Circle was taken over successively by: H. Borowski, K. Świtalski, W. Holas. The choir's activity was interrupted by World War I and resumed in 1916. In 1925 the society was led by Ludwig Thomas and continued to be conducted by Ignacy Kaptur. In May 1927 the group took part in the Congress of Singing Circles in Gniezno already under the direction of A. Winkel. It was active dynamically until 1929. In 1929 -1934 it suspended functioning due to the lack of an appropriate board. In 1934 it was reactivated, while teacher Kazimierz Majewski took over as president in 1935. Before World War II, the singers took third place at the congress of the Third District of the Greater Poland Singing Association.

8. XII 1938 was in Trzemeszno Felix Nowowiejski. During the composer's meeting with the choir and listening to them sing under the direction of A Winkel, the choir was named after him. A manuscript of his speech on the occasion of his stay in Trzemeszno is kept in the chronicle of the choir. After the war, the choir resumed its activities on December 23, 1945 under the leadership of Kazimierz Jędrychowicz and the artistic direction of Ignacy Kaptur. In 1949 the ensemble took part in the Third Congress of the Association of Polish Singing and Instrumental Ensembles. In 1950 the activities of the circle were suspended. It resumed in 1953 under the name of the F. Nowowiejski Folk Singing Ensemble in Trzemeszno. The distinguished chairman of the choir was Antoni Nowakowski. In 1955 Henryk Wrzeszczynski became the choir's conductor. Among the choir's major achievements from this period are: the recording of a broadcast in the Pomeranian Broadcasting Station of the Polish Radio, broadcast by the 1st program of the PR on May 17, 1959; in March 1961 the Kilinski monument was unveiled, during which the choristers presented for the first time the "Cantata about Jan Kilinski" by Feliks Malecki from Bydgoszcz; circa 1963. the choir was dedicated to a radio program broadcast in the program II PR; the ensemble took part in the Second Festival of Polish Choirs in Poznan (1962); the choir gave concerts in Bydgoszcz and in Torun together with the orchestra of the Pomeranian Philharmonic; 26.04.1966 the ensemble recorded camp songs for Polish Radio under the direction of Henryk Wrzeszczynski: Dumka, Pieśń o piosnce, Dla nas słońce nie zachodzi, Sen więźnia, Elegia, Już przebrzmiał grom, Zew, accompaniment - Gracjan Guziński.
