Performances were held daily from October 2 to 7, 1945 in the cinema of the Polish Fire Station in Lübeck. Henryk Ryl (born February 25, 1911 in St. Petersburg, died September 24, 1983 in Lodz, Poland) was a Polish puppet theater director, and playwright, as well as a soldier of the 1939 campaign in Poland, prisoner oflag in Murnau, founder of a puppet theater, and co-creator of the plays covered in the placards.
From 1946 to 1947 he worked as director of the Groteska Puppet and Actor Theater in Cracow. In 1948, with his wife, he founded the Arlekin Puppet Theater in Lodz, which he managed until 1964. He was the founder of the "Puppet Theater" magazine, and served as its editor-in-chief until his death.
