Józef Lipkowski (1863-1949) - Polish engineer, inventor, designer, emigration activist, writer and poet, general of the Polish Army. During the First World War he was an expert on armaments for the French government, also working for Polish independence. in 1917 he became co-founder and first president of the Association of Polish Engineers and Technicians in France. After the war, he was appointed head of the Polish Military Mission. He took part in the Polish-Bolshevik war. He held very important positions in various economic and industrial organizations.
