[LANGE Oskar Richard]. Handwritten seven-page letter from Oskar Lange to an unnamed professor, dated. August 20, 1933 in Berkeley.
Double-sided manuscript on 4 cards form. 17.6x13.3 cm. In the header the sender's address (The Rockefeller Foundation in New York). The author of the letter thanks the sender for the correspondence. In a few paragraphs he informs about his recent activities: "the greater part of my fellowship so far has been spent at Harvard," visiting New York twice, also Chicago, North Dakota, Wyoming ("I spent 3 days in [...] a tiny cowboy town"), Yellowstone Park, to settle in Berlekey for the summer. He plans to travel to Minneapolis in the fall. Each time, he lists the names of American scholars with whom he will collaborate. He will apply to extend his fellowship for another year. He expresses his willingness to help place an article written by the recipient in prestigious journals. A considerable part of the letter is devoted by Lange to the possibility of working at the institute, the head of which is the addressee of the letter. He writes about Janusz W. Libicki, Adam Krzyzanowski ("there is no other professor whose assistant it is so nice to be"). Very good condition.
