[KarolWOJTYŁA ]. Cardinal Karol Wojtyla's signature under a typed card, dated. 28 IV 1971 in Cracow.
One-sided typescript on card form. 10.8x15.1 cm. In the header red print "Karol Cardinal Wojtyła, Archbishop Metropolitan of Cracow." The bishop thanks an unknown recipient (titled "Professor") for the letter and promises to explain "how Concilium matters are currently developing." Under the text a handwritten signature "+ kar. Karol Wojtyla." On the back a handwritten letter by an unknown person, beginning "This is a reply to a letter with the opinions of 2 theologians and about the recent exploits of 'TP' [= Tygodnik Powszechny]". Good condition.
John Paul II (Karol Wojtyla) (1920-2005) - archbishop of Krakow, cardinal, from October 16, 1978 pope, saint of the Catholic Church, one of the greatest moral authorities of the 20th century.
