Jerzy Stanislaw Dzieduszycki (1670-1730) - was a Polish aristocrat, military officer and politician from the Dzieduszycki family of the Sas coat of arms. He was born into one of the oldest and most influential magnate families in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. His family had large estates in Ukraine and Lesser Poland. He served as voivode of Volhynia from 1724, and before that was starosta of Lviv and chamberlain of the Crown. In his life he was involved in both political and military affairs. He took part in the wars waged by the Republic and supported Augustus II the Strong in his bid for the Polish throne. Dzieduszycki was also a funder of many religious and cultural initiatives. He supported the development of the Catholic Church and monasteries, including the Visceral Carmelites in Lviv. He died in 1730, leaving behind a strong influence on political and cultural life in the region.
