The collection consists of a sheet of paper measuring 12 x 10.5 cm with the poet's autograph and the date "Stawisko | 30 XII 1968";
and 2 manuscripts (on sheets of paper with dimensions of 18,2 x 14,3) of fragments of a poem titled "The fawning of horses". "Fawning Horses".
Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz (1894-1980) - poet, prose writer, essayist and translator. One of the founders of the legendary poetic group Skamander. During World War II he worked for the preservation of cultural property, and after the war he supported the government of People's Poland with his pen and authority. According to some researchers, it was largely thanks to this that Iwaszkiewicz managed to preserve from destruction the famous Stawisko, the historic manor complex where he lived with his wife and where he gathered collections and memorabilia.

I will shed my clothes

I will sit on my horse
and I will ride into the water
the horse will carry me
to the depths
and where it does not reach
will flow
I will feel again
its muscles
