FROM PRUSSIA TO SIBERIA. Agreement between Russia and Prussia on the deportation of criminals to Siberian mines (German. Publicandum wegen Deportation incorrigibler Verbrecher in die Siberischen Bergwerke), Berlin, July 7, 1802. Dangerous criminals were subject to dep ortation : thieves, robbers or arsonists (Diebe, Räuber, Brandstifter). The document reveals how close the two states were not only politically but also ideologically at the time. Having the dignity of the human individual for nothing, both sides benefited - Prussia got rid of the "problem" and Russia gained slave labor. -4 pp, bdb. condition, dimensions 210x330mm.
