Hourglass / obituary Felix hr. Sobanski (owner: Feliks Hilary Michal Ludwik Sobanski Count, coat of arms Junosza) [1833-1913] landowner, social and charitable activist, philanthropist, member of the Agricultural Society in the Kingdom of Poland, former Marshal of Braclaw, imprisoned in the Petropavlovsk fortress and sentenced to exile deep into Russia. Upon his return from exile, he carried out the reconstruction of the post-Lubienskiy palace in Guzow. During the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71, he rescued the wounded from the battlefield under the auspices of the International Red Cross. From 1875 he was a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw, co-founder of the Museum of Industry and Agriculture. He financed the construction and restoration of religious buildings, contributed to the restoration of Sigismund's column, and founded, among other things, a Home for Single Women and a shelter for orphans. He spent the last years of his life in Paris, where he died in 1913. He was buried in the vaults of St. Augustine's Church, and in 1914 his remains were brought to a family grave in Obwodka in Podolia, f. 21 x 27.5cm, all in Polish
