The command of the 1st Regiment of the LP sends Wachm. Stanislaw Bujwid back and forth to Kowel to make purchases (unspecified in the document).

Janusz Julian Głuchowski, nicknamed "Janusz" (1888-1964) - Major General of the Polish Army. He served in the 1st lancer regiment of the Polish Legions; he commanded successively a squadron, a division, and finally was the last commander of the regiment. From February 5 to March 31, 1917, he was commander of the cavalry officer course at the 1st Lancer Regiment in Ostroleka. At the same time he taught tactics at this course.

Stanislaw Bujwid (1895-1951) - lieutenant of reserve cavalry of the Polish Army, engineer, decorated with the Cross of Independence and the Cross of Valour. During World War I he fought in the ranks of the 1st and 2nd Cavalry Regiments of the Polish Legions. In 1917 he completed a cavalry officer course in Ostroleka. He took an active part in the capture of Przemysl, Janow and Lviv, where he distinguished himself with valor and was appointed second lieutenant by Gen. Roja. After the dissolution of the Officers' Legion, he was assigned to the operational group of Maj. Gen. J. Lesniewski. By the new commander of the group, Lt. Gen. Jędrzejewski, he was appointed his personal adjutant. He took part in the Polish-Bolshevik war. He died on May 30, 1951.
The 1st Uhlan Regiment of the Polish Legions - a riding unit of the Polish Legions. The lancers of this unit, from the name of their commander, were called "Beliniaks".
The regiment was formed from a 140-member lancer squadron created by Wladyslaw Zygmunt Belina-Prażmowski on August 13, 1914, based on the first 7-member horse patrol, the vanguard of the march of the First Cadre Company on August 6, 1914.
The regiment remained under Belina's command throughout its combat route. This 7-man horse patrol, under the command of Prażmowski- "Belina" was formed by: Janusz Julian Głuchowski "Janusz", Antoni Jabłoński "Zdzisław", Zygmunt Karol Karwacki "Stanisław Bończa", Stefan Kulesza "Hanka", Stanisław Skotnicki "Grzmot", Ludwik Skrzyński "Kmicic".
In February and March 1917, cavalry courses (officer and non-commissioned officer) and two administrative courses were organized and conducted in the regiment.
