CIELECKI Hieronymus (1563-1627). Royal secretary.
Deed of receipt of 30 thalers as the king's secretary, needed for a trip to the city of Lubomel in Volhynia. Cracow 11 July 1602. Dimension 11 x 18.5 cm.
Handwritten letter of HieronimCielecki, who was then secretary to King Sigismund III Vasa. A year later the king appointed him tutor of the royal children. Subsequently, he was Grand Referendary of the Crown and prebendary of the Plock chapter. He was a native of Greater Poland, his brothers having held the dignities of Poznań podstoli and Poznań wojski. Cielecki went to Lubomla in Volhynia on the king's orders. The town received a number of privileges from Sigismund III and was his daughter's dowry. The money was also paid by royal secretary Pavel Yachimovich. An imprinted wafer seal with the Zaremba coat of arms of the Cielecki family. A rare document from the early 17th century regarding the royal secretary.
