Description

Mikołaj Bazyli Potocki (1712 - 1782), starosta of Kaniów, Knight of Malta,bibliophile, collector and patron of the arts. He owned the estates of Buczacz, Zloty Potok, Horodenka, Gologory. Member of the Sejm, loud eccentric and adventurer. He became entrenched in tradition as the perpetrator of a number of antics, rapes and murders. His castle in Buczacz was famous as a place of licentious brawls.
