38 field mail cards of a Pole serving in the 45th infantry regiment of the Austro-Hungarian army. The cards date from 1914 to 1916, and are written mainly to a woman. They contain written reminiscences of battles and stays in the rear. The last message was written on half of a Russian card for prisoners of war, with a Russian censorship stamp.
