Letter on Swedish Prime Minister's correspondence paper, form. A4. Letter addressed to Dr. Włodzimierz Szewczuk, psychologist, at the address of the Institute of Psychology of the Jagiellonian University. Olof Palme thanks for the letter sent and apologizes for the delay in responding. He also expresses the hope that the addressee applauds the Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize (the award went to Allfonso Robles and Alva Mrdal at the time, and to Lech Walesa the following year). Under the text, handwritten signature of Olof Palme with full name. Preserved original envelope. Stains of the envelope, letter in good condition.
O. Palme (1927-1986) - Swedish politician, head of the Swedish Social Democratic Workers' Party, Prime Minister of Sweden from 1969-1976 and 1982-1986. He died while in office, shot dead on a street in Stockholm. The crime was committed for political motives.
