Album from 1962, constituting an extremely detailed documentation of the voyage of its creator, Kazimierz Hess, to the United States of America on board MS "Batory". Photos, mostly p.b., various sizes, plus clippings from newspaper articles and other memorabilia, handwritten descriptions. Condition db., minor damage to album covers, dimensions 210x290 mm.
The album consists of three parts.Part I shows the events preceding the voyage: the defense of Jerzy Szopa's doctoral thesis in the auditorium of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow on 17.I.1962 (19 photos), the creator of the album from January to March 1962 (14 photos), photos taken in Gdansk just before the voyage on 14.4.1962: Neptune's monument (1 photo), Długi Targ (1 photo), St. Mary's Church (1 photo), Baszta (1 photo).
