Biography
Attended the Classical Gymnasium in Brzozow[3][4]. Graduated from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1954 and the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg, where he studied from 1954 to 1958. In 1958, he began working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. A student of Xawery Dunikowski.
In 1948-1954, he belonged to the Union of Polish Youth. In 1953, he joined the Polish United Workers' Party. From 1958 to 1980 he was a member of the Union of Polish Teachers. He also joined the Union of Polish Artists. Creator of great sculptural compositions, medals, portraits of famous Poles, including Konrad Swinarski, Krzysztof Penderecki. Marian Konieczny is also the creator of the gravestone monument to actress Barbara Kwiatkowska-Lass, completed in 1998, and the gravestone monument to Professor Wiktor Zin, completed in 2012 - both at the Rakowicki Cemetery.
