Acrylic, newspapers, textile cardboard, 36.5 х 12.5 x 5 cm

Work made of papier-mache, wrapped in canvas and resembling schematic anthropomorphic hares. Of course, the hare as a form of caricature is not accidental and in many ways archetypal for Belarus. It unequivocally evokes the Belarusian context and thus completely contextualizes the installation. However, the strong emphasis on the symbolic meaning of the cartoon is unnecessary and in many ways discredits the author's concept, reducing it to a set of traditional cultural meanings and the search for their successful combinations. Such an approach significantly limits the potential of Lunev's installation, radically nullifying its sensory aspect. Along with the symbolic content of the "zaomorphic objects", their visual and artistic solution is fundamental.
