The early 1980s in Erna Rosenstein's work was often characterized by an economy of form and a subtle muting of color. The oil composition on offer impresses with its free running of spots and lightness in the construction of the composition, alluding to oneiric visions. The painting from this decade is also worth noting for collector's reasons. Rosenstein is associated with Surrealism, although she herself did not declare an attachment to this direction. The artist realized herself not only in the visual arts, but also in poetry, a fondness for which can be seen, for example, in her lyrical, authoritative titles.
