Aleksandra Antonina Wisniewska
Creates paintings on canvas, watercolors on paper and large-format applied painting on walls. After graduating from the Jan Cybis High School of Fine Arts in Opole, she studied art history at the University of Wroclaw, which can often be seen in the artist's applied works, as she draws inspiration from the past.
In Aleksandra Wisniewska's work, it may come as a surprise to see such a choice of painting techniques, which are based on the canvas/paper/wall substrate category. However, easel painting remains the most important for her. At the same time, without narrowing her work to this medium only, she sets herself more and more new artistic challenges.
Her easel painting is primarily a fascination with man. Through nudes, she tries to show the individuality of man, the body with its gesture and history written in it finds its place in nature, or conveys emotional states without reference to the environment. He is currently working on a series referring to the world of fairy tales and myths in an aestheticizing approach.
In her watercolors, she mainly plays with the color and shapes of nature in an illustrative form, honing the technique and the effects that can be achieved in this demanding technique. Her favorite subjects are animals, plants and still life.
Wall painting is the use of various painting techniques and different types of paint for different effects tailored to the interior and its function. He is most eager to realize interiors for the restaurant industry, seeking for them an individual and unique expression related to the type of establishment.
