Time. BJ 7, 364. spine new. Minor local staining, overall good condition. Numerous woodcut illustrations. An ambitious intended magazine "for Polish families". Selection of authors and graphic design at a high level. The magazine included texts by Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski ("God's Care"), Leopold Starzeński ("Outlaw"), poetry by Wladyslaw Belza, Bronislaw Komorowski, Wladyslaw Ordon. In addition to literary texts, there were articles on architectural monuments (from Lviv, Tarnów, Bielany, etc.), descriptions of lands(M. Zieleniewski "Spa and bath establishments in Galicia". Szczawnica with an engraving), natural science (about truffles), Polish history and geography, theater history, etc. In addition, the issues include interesting chronicles on current social and political topics by Kraszewski, cartoon jokes ("humoresques"), rebus and charades. The yearbook contains very beautifully reflected, high-contrast woodcuts in part full-page. Most of them were made according to drawings by J. Juliusz Kossak and Karol Mlodnicki.
