An extremely rare vintage of Danzig thalers in the trade.
A coin completely undervalued by the creators of catalogs and price lists, as confirmed by its individual quotations in the trade.
In the archives of Polish companies, only 2 (!) quotations over several decades (of which only one is for this variety - a circulating piece sold in 2017 for 45,425 PLN). There are no listings of other pieces in the international Coinarchives database.
The coin's rarity is also confirmed by the"Great Collections of Polish Coins", where among four outstanding collections sold between 1904 and 1932, only Chelminski's featured this vintage (but it was a different variety).
A variety with a high bust, slender and SUEC.... RUS in the obverse legend.
Coin after pendant and with traces of cleaning in the background. Relief slightly shiny, but with no abrasion or pitting from wear, good.
Silver, diameter 43.7 mm, weight 28.7 g.
