Gold 3.48 g. Bolko II was the nephew of Casimir III the Great and also the grandson of Ladislaus the Short. His gold coins were designed on the model of Florentine coins with a lily flower on the obverse (in the legend the inscription "BOLCO DUX SLE") and the image of St. John on the reverse; they are, right after the Lokietek ducat, the first gold coins produced in the Polish lands. An extremely rare, nicely preserved and historically interesting coin.
