Bust of the king with head facing right with lined collar.
Renaissance shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk supported by two lions on the reverse.
A bear's paw in the shield (the mintmaster's mark of Daniel Klüwer - tenant of the Danzig mint) and a maple leaf begin the obverse inscription on the reverse.
Variant punctuation with a rosette ending the obverse obverse inscription on the obverse and stars before and after the date in the rim on the reverse.
State of Preservation: NGC MS60
A flawed disc, but a beautifully preserved piece. Beautiful detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. High NGC grade for this type. A rare, prized and sought after variety with a maple leaf. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and difficult to find on the collector market.
