Sigismund II Augustus, Half-penny 1546, Vilnius - newer type of Eagle - LI/LITV - rare
Fifth type of Eagle and sixth type of Hound.
Inscribed variety with the King's titulature on the obverse ending in ... LI and an obverse inscription on the reverse ending in ... LITV - rarer.
Condition: 2+/2
Minor tin flaw (visible on the eagle's chest) and slight deficiency of the rim, but a beautifully preserved coin. Intense luster and mint mirror. Rarer vintage. A rare and underrated variety with a new type of Eagle. Rare coin and quite difficult to obtain on the collector market.
