Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1521, Vilnius - SIGISMVNIE error, NAGNI-very rare.
Variant with a Hound without a sword scabbard (hind legs forward) on the obverse and an Eagle with top feathers pointing toward the Eagle's head (triangular feathers on the neck) on the reverse.
Variant punctuation without a colon after the date and with a colon after LITVAN - not described in the specialized Huletski/Bagdonas catalog.
Error - ... SIGISMVNIE ... instead of ... SIGISMVNDI ... - very rare.
Error - ... NAGNI ... instead of ... MAGNI ... - very rare. It is interesting that the incorrect letter N has been scored with the correct letter M - very rare.
State of preservation: 2-/2
Minor disc crack and minor scarcity but a beautifully preserved piece. Very rare and unusual errors for this type of coin. A very rare coin and very difficult to get on the collector market.
